Guest soloist Josef Burgstaller, "Trumpet Extraordinaire" will perform a solo for piccolo trumpet by Bach/Vivaldi, the famous Hummel Trumpet Concerto, and a musical selection by famed Rafael Mendez. Bergstaller has performed and taught in 48 states, 21 countries, and hundreds of cities and major venues throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia. He is a former member of the Canadian Brass.
The Arizona Wind Symphony will play some of the most powerful music associated with the history and culture of America. Always stirring, these pieces run the emotional gamut between joyful and melancholic.
